Plaquex® IV Therapy
At iv&co, we offer advanced IV therapies designed to support overall wellness and cellular function. Plaquex® IV therapy is a phosphatidylcholine-based infusion used in clinical environments under provider supervision.
Phosphatidylcholine is an essential phospholipid involved in maintaining cell membrane structure and normal cellular function. IV delivery allows for direct systemic availability.
Plaquex® may be incorporated into a personalized wellness plan to support metabolic processes, cellular integrity, and overall vitality.
What to Expect During Your Plaquex IV Therapy Session
At iv&co, we are committed to creating a comfortable, effective, and science-backed experience for every client undergoing Plaquex IV Therapy. Understanding what to expect before, during, and after your infusion helps ensure that you feel confident and informed throughout your treatment process.
1. Initial Intake Process
Before starting Plaquex IV Therapy, all clients will fill out a consent and health history form to:
✔ Review health history and wellness goals
✔ Assess potential contraindications or medication interactions
✔ Discuss expected outcomes and treatment protocol
Once cleared, clients can begin their Plaquex IV Therapy series.

2. The Infusion Process
Each Plaquex IV session is administered by our trained Registered Nurses in a relaxing, professional setting.
- Session Duration: 90-120 minutes per infusion
- Frequency: A standard protocol includes about 8 – 10 infusions for optimal benefits
- Maintenance: Following the initial series, some clients choose to receive monthly infusions to help maintain long-term wellness
4. After Your Plaquex IV Treatment
After your infusion, you can return to normal daily activities with little to no downtime. However, it’s important to:
- Drink plenty of water to support detoxification and circulation
- Follow any personalized supplement or lifestyle recommendations provided by your healthcare provider
- Monitor how you feel and communicate any changes with your healthcare provider
Some clients report increased mental clarity, better circulation, and improved energy within the first few sessions, while others notice gradual benefits over time.
Possible Side Effects & How We Manage Them
Plaquex IV Therapy is generally well-tolerated, and clinical studies have not reported major safety concerns. However, as with any therapy, some individuals may experience mild side effects, including:
- Temporary fatigue or lightheadedness → Ensuring adequate hydration before the infusion may help minimize this.
- Mild GI discomfort or nausea → Rare, but may occur if toxins are being cleared at a faster rate.
-  Infusion site sensitivity → Redness or mild irritation at the IV site is uncommon but can be relieved with a cold compress.
Our team closely monitors every session to ensure a safe and effective experience. If any adjustments are needed, we modify the infusion rate or tailor the protocol to your needs.
5. Long-Term Maintenance & Results
While immediate benefits such as improved circulation or mental clarity may be noticed in early sessions, full results typically develop over time. A complete Plaquex IV series (8 – 10 sessions) is recommended for the most comprehensive support, with some clients continuing monthly infusions for long-term maintenance.
At iv&co, we believe in integrative wellness—combining Plaquex IV Therapy with supportive nutrition, lifestyle changes, and adjunctive therapies (such as Vitamin D, Curcumin, or High-Dose Vitamin C) may further optimize results.
3. What Happens During a Plaquex IV Infusion?
- A nurse will place an IV catheter in your arm and start the infusion at a controlled rate
- You will be seated in a comfortable environment during the session
- Glutathione (1g) is included with every Plaquex infusion in the second bag to support antioxidant activity and detoxification
- Most clients experience relaxation, calmness, or even a light boost in energy after treatment
What It Feels Like:
- Most people tolerate Plaquex IV Therapy very well.
- The infusion is slowly administered to allow for gradual absorption.
- Some clients notice a mild warming sensation or a slight metallic taste during the infusion.
- Staying hydrated before and after the session helps with overall comfort.
